There’s no time of year like spring, and as the weather gets warmer, and the days get longer, we’re all filled with the urge to get out of the house. With so many opportunities to celebrate the season in Marysville, OH, it’ll be easy to enjoy the outdoors and connect with the community this year. Check out our list of spring activities for some ideas about where to start.

1. Visit the Union County Farmers’ Market

From May 20, the Union County Farmers Market will be up and running every Saturday morning from 8:30am to 11:30am. Held in Partners Park at 125 East Sixth Street, you can browse the freshest local fruit, vegetables, greens, and meat, as well as bedding plants, cut flowers, baked goods, preserves, and crafts. You’ll be able to benefit from the very best of spring’s bounty, and you’ll be supporting local businesses too.

2. Enjoy Friday Nights Uptown

The new season of this music event began on May 19, and there are events scheduled throughout the rest of the spring and summer. Enjoy live performances in the open air with great food from local vendors, as well as other family-orientated activities. The event is held at Partners Park on select Fridays from 6pm to 10pm. You can bring your own lawn chairs for seating, so load up the spacious trunk of your Chrysler 300 and come on down.

3. Build a Gnome Teacup Garden

This event will let you embody the springtime in the form of a teacup. This crafting event at Marysville Public Library lets you combine miniature gardening with your eye for design to create a tiny garden for a fairy gnome. It will be held at 231 South Plum Street on May 3 at 6pm, and is open to anyone over the age of eighteen. Register now to unleash your creative talents.

4. Touch a Truck

If you’re looking for ways to make this springtime memorable for your little ones, this event is sure to make it stand out in their minds. They’ll be able to get up close and personal with a range of exciting vehicles, including fire trucks, ambulances, construction vehicles and tractors. The event will be held on June 2 at 10am to 1pm at Mill Valley Park South, 1067 Creekview Drive, so bring your truck-mad toddlers down for the fun!

Admission is free, but non-perishable foods can be donated to help Stuff a Truck for Marysville Food Pantry.
